Post-services

Post Facial services

After a facial, keep your skincare routine simple, using a gentle cleanser and a gentle moisturizer. Stay out of the sun and wear SPF, as your skin will be more sensitive. Avoid harsh products, like exfoliants and retinoids, and don't wear makeup for at least 12-24 hours. Instead, focus on drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated and allow your skin to heal.

What to Do:

  • Hydrate: Drink lots of water to support your skin's natural detoxification process and keep it plump and dewy.
  • Moisturize: Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer to soothe and restore your skin's moisture barrier.
  • Protect from the Sun: Your skin is more sensitive to UV damage after a facial, so apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and wear hats when going outdoors.
  • Use Gentle Products: Stick to a mild cleanser and avoid active treatments for a few days.
  • Rest: Give your skin time to heal by avoiding touching your face or picking at any blemishes.
  • Be Gentle: Use clean towels and pillowcases to prevent transferring dirt and bacteria to your freshly treated skin.

What to Avoid:

  • Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid sunbeds to prevent irritation and damage.
  • Makeup: Do not apply makeup for 12-24 hours to prevent clogging pores and allowing skin to breathe.
  • Harsh Products: Skip exfoliants, retinoids, vitamin C, and other active skincare treatments for at least 3-5 days.
  • Hot Water: Avoid washing your face with hot or warm water, as it can strip away beneficial elements.
  • Picking and Touching: Do not pick, squeeze, or touch your face to avoid transferring bacteria.
  • High Heat: Avoid saunas and heating rooms for a short period after your facial to prevent disrupting blood circulation.

Follow these guidelines carefully to ensure proper healing and optimal results after your microneedling treatment:

Immediately After Treatment:

  • Apply a cold compress to reduce redness and swelling.
  • Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to clean the treated area (the best is water only)
  • Apply a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid or ceramides to hydrate and protect the skin.
  • Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area.

For the Next 24 Hours:

  • Stay out of the sun and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating.
  • Do not use hot water on the treated area.
  • Cleanse the skin gently with cool water.
  • Apply a thin layer of moisturizer as needed.
  • Avoid using any harsh or active skincare products, such as retinoids, exfoliants, or vitamin C.

For the Next Few Days:

  • Continue to use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer.
  • Gradually resume your regular skincare routine, avoiding harsh products or treatments.
  • Protect the skin from the sun with sunscreen.
  • Avoid swimming or soaking in hot tubs.
  • If you experience any signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, or pain, contact your healthcare provider immediately.

HOW TO CARE YOUR BROWS AND EYELINER AFTER THE PROCEDURE

DAY OF PROCEDURE:

•Gently clean the area firmly with a nonalcoholic tissue & warm water every 2 hours for 4 hours after the procedure. DO NOT WIPE.

•Clean periodically if needed before bed and apply sheer/ thin layer of aftercare ointment to each brows using clean Q-tip.

NOTE!!!! HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR BROWS THE DAY YOU GET IT DONE WILL PREVENT A THIK SCAB FROM FORMING.

FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK POST – PROCEDURE OR UNTIL HEALING IS COMPLETE (WHICHEVER IS LONGER)

•Avoid vigorous exercise or excessive sweating until your brows are healed.

•Every morning and evening wash the area using damp cotton pad. Clean more if necessary to prevent oil build – up.

•If the brows become dry/ itchy apply a sheer/ thin layer of aftercare cream to the brows with a cotton swab.

•Keep your hands clean and avoid touching the treated areas. When the area starts flake, leave it. DO NOT PICK, PEEL OR PULL ON THE SKIN OR TREATED AREA.

•Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds.

•Avoid exposing the area to excessive moisture or humidity such as facials, swimming in chlorine pools or recreational bodies of water, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and steamy showers.

•No lotions, ointments or make up on the treated area until completely healed.

•Avoid harsh soaps and chemicals (including skin cleansers, makeup removers, alpha hydroxyl creams and tooth whitening toothpaste) near the treated area until healed. Mild soap like Cetaphil can be used gently over the area if needed.

•Avoid direct contact with animals to the treated area.

•Avoid gardening and contact with soil to prevent exposure to fertilizers, etc.

•Do not resume any method of eyebrow hair removal or eyebrow tinting for at least 2 weeks.

•Avoid Retin-A AHA, glycolic acids, exfoliants and anti-aging products at all times (not just during healing) on all micro pigmented areas. These can cause pigments to fade and lighten prematurely.

LONG TERM CARE:

•Grooming may still be required to keep the shape clean from outside hairs and new hair growth.

•Use SPF on the brows to protect them from the sun and premature fading.

Post-Lamination and Tint Services

Post-treatment brow lamination care primarily involves keeping brows dry (no water, sweat, or steam for at least 24-48 hours), avoiding touch to maintain the shape, and staying away from harsh products (like exfoliants, fake tan, and makeup) for the first 2-3 days. After this initial period, gently brushing your brows and applying a nourishing serum or oil will help keep them healthy and hydrated.

For the First 24-48 Hours:

  • Keep Dry:
Avoid getting your brows wet from water, sweat, or steam. This means no showering, swimming, or saunas, and being careful around hot cookware.
  • Don't Touch or Rub:
Keep your hands off your brows to prevent disturbing the solution and causing irritation.
  • Avoid Makeup:
Do not apply any makeup, especially heavy products like foundation, to the brow area.
  • Steer Clear of Harsh Products:
Don't use fake tan, exfoliating products, or anti-aging skincare on or around the brows.
  • Sleep on Your Back:
Try sleeping on your back to prevent the brows from being squashed against the pillow.

After the Initial Period (48+ Hours):

  • Gentle Cleansing:
You can resume washing your face, but be gentle around the brows.
  • Moisturize:
Apply a nourishing serum or oil to keep the brow hairs hydrated and healthy.
  • Brush Daily:
Use a spoolie brush to gently comb your brows upwards, maintaining their lifted shape.
  • Avoid Sunbeds and Tanning:
Steer clear of sunbeds, tanning beds, and prolonged direct sun exposure for 48 hours.
